A referral pathway for dentists, physicians and other regulated healthcare providers. We aim to make conservative musculoskeletal and TMJ care easy to refer to and to communicate about clearly.
Conditions Commonly Referred
- Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders — jaw pain, clicking, locking, TMJ-related headaches
- Low back pain and sciatica
- Neck pain and cervicogenic / tension-type headaches
- Sports and overuse musculoskeletal injuries
- Conservative care following imaging findings, where appropriate
TMJ & Musculoskeletal Co-Management
TMJ disorders frequently involve the jaw joint, jaw and cervical muscles, and neck posture together. Dr. Shahab Entezami, DC assesses jaw movement, the cervical spine and posture, and is glad to co-manage with dentists managing bite, appliance or craniofacial concerns. Care is conservative and selected from the patient's assessment; individual results and treatment needs vary. Findings and plans are communicated back to the referring provider.
Collaborative Communication
We commit to acknowledging referrals promptly, providing a brief assessment summary where useful, and referring back when a concern is outside the scope of chiropractic management. We will not make exaggerated claims about outcomes; care is assessment-based and conservative.
